Pigtails, Pirate Ships, and Parkinson's - Kids Creating A Cure
Welcome to~
Pigtails,
Pirate Ships, & Parkinson's
My name is Cindy DeLuz and I'm a passionate mixed-media artist. I also happen to have Parkinson's Disease, a neurological brain disease that currently has no cure, progresses over time, and can greatly effect on the quality of life for millions of people.

I believe in hope...
I believe in turning lemons into lemonade...
and I believe that all of us have the ability to make a difference in the world.

At Pigtails, Pirate Ships, & Parkinson's, you will have the opportunity to submit and/or purchase amazing artwork created by talented kids who share these same beliefs, and you'll be joining in contributing to a cure!

Check out the Art Gallery and Shopping Cart Page. Here you will find quality greeting cards and high luster prints featuring artwork created by big-hearted children across the country. Be sure to buy some cards, prints, or both.....and ask your family and friends to do the same! They make unique gifts that will surely be treasured for years to come. A "Buy Now" button is located at the bottom of the Art Gallery and Shopping Cart Page.

Also, please ask the kids in your life who are 14 years of age or younger to create and submit one or more pieces of art to Pigtails, Pirate Ships, & Parkinson's. They don't need to have any special artistic training....just some paint, crayons, or markers, an especially big heart, and a desire to help! Every child who submits artwork will receive a personalized "Hero Certificate" to honor their contribution.

Proceeds from sales are lovingly donated to an amazing place called The Parkinson's Institute and Clinical Center. Please visit their page to read about the magic they are creating daily as they treat patients with PD and other movement disorders. This team of wonderful people works tirelessly, treating patients with respect and care, while searching for a cure.

Current statistics show a rise in the number of PD cases occurring each year, and it also seems to be striking people at an earlier age. Working together, we can contribute to the treatment -- and potential cure -- for Parkinson's Disease, all while nurturing a future generation of artists.

Now, wouldn't that be a masterpiece?
